Position Title: Fundraising Coordinator
Status: Regular Full-time (One-year Maternity Leave Contract)
Hours: 40 hours per week, weekend and after-hours work will be required
Start Date: September 2018
The Georgian Triangle Humane Society is a not-for-profit charity in the South Georgian Bay area. Our mission is to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused domestic animals a second chance in life at a forever home. We endeavour to accommodate as many domestic animals as our resources will allow in our dedicated shelter. We promote responsible pet ownership, including spay/neutering and micro chipping. Through educational programs we provide information regarding animal care, as well as the humane treatment of all domestic animals.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Fundraising Coordinator for a one year maternity leave contract. This position is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring annual and third-party fundraising events for the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. This includes developing event communication plans and soliciting sponsorships.
Our ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in fundraising, event management, sales or a related field along with applicable experience in fundraising and event planning. Knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design and client management databases will be enhanced by exceptional communication, organizational and relationship building skills
